Happy Wednesday! Though it's nearing end of the year, I've been busier than ever finishing up projects and traveling. Last week had me in San Francisco, then it was back to Los Angeles for a couple of days, and then a stop in Del Mar. Here are some shots via instagram.
Happy Sunday! It's no wonder that the Great Wall of China represents a masterpiece in military, architectural and topographic construction and integration. It is the only work built by human hands on this planet that can be seen from the moon. Stretching over 12,000 miles, no trip to Beijing would be complete without visiting this wonder of the ancient world. What strikes me is how a society realized how vital it is to preserve and protect their systems and culture, both material and spiritual elements. It is a humbling and visible reminder of what people can do when they work together toward a common goal.
Happy Thursday! Here are some pictures from my recent stay at the serenely beautiful Aman at Summer Palace. I am wearing a dress from Shoxie, my dear friend Folake's new store. This unique Aman resort is housed in a series of pavilions –
some of which are over 100 years old – first built to accommodate guests of the
Dowager Empress. The sensation of history, beauty and contemplation is
pervasive in this historic setting.
Happy Tuesday! I started last week in Beijing, made my way back to LA and finished the week in San Francisco. Here are snippets of my journey via Instagram.
