Happy Friday! I immensely enjoyed the last week exploring the westernmost province of Canada, spending most of my time in Vancouver, its largest city, and Whistler, a unique resort community to the north.
My home in Vancouver was the beautiful Hotel Gorgia, which boasts such prominent guests as Elvis Presley, Katharine Hepburn, and Marlene Dietrich. The elegant and historic retreat is nestled downtown overlooking the Vancouver Art Gallery with a first-class restaurant led by premier chef, David Hawksworth.
Then it was a short but spectacularly scenic drive to Whistler after a quick stop at Shannon Falls. Skiing was the order of the day, punctuated by incredible food, apres-ski swims, and an unforgettable "ice bar." Here are a couple pictures from around town.
