Greetings! Last week, after a lovely celebration in Vermont, we continued my sister's birthday festivities in Montreal. We stayed at our favorite hotel here, the historic Ritz-Carlton. Built in 1912, this Ritz was the first in North America. I love seeing the art and architecture of every city I visit and the beauty of Montreal is that you can't escape it, each is a part of the culture. The Museum of Fine Arts, Canada's oldest art institution, for example, had some amazing pieces. And while strolling the various neighborhoods and taking in the eclectic architecture proved endlessly rewarding, one of the highlights of the trip was purely gastronomic: the exciting culinary experience at Grand Chef Jérôme Ferrer's Restaurant Europea.
