Greetings! The reason I was motivated to get my pilot's license was due largely to the magical feeling of flying a few thousand feet above the ground; close enough to see the details of the world below you, but high enough to feel close to the stars. It's an indescribable experience. Last Friday, I flew with friends to Santa Barbara for another leg of my ongoing birthday celebration. As you might know, I love the San Ysidro Ranch, and no visit to Santa Barbara is complete without a stop at this gorgeous resort. As usual, lunch there was fantastic. Yet, this day had more in store for me; Four Seasons for afternoon tea, wine tastings, more desserts, and an other-worldly sunset flight home made for a truly wonderful celebration.
