Hope you're enjoying this beautiful summer day! After the Hamptons, I made my way to LA for business. It's been non-stop with back to back meetings, conference calls and negotiations. In the midst of it all, I made time to visit "land art" pioneer, Michael Heizer's exhibit at the LACMA. Levitated Mass is a feat of engineering and art, speaking to the Earth as a viable artistic source and its interplay with negative form and the surrounding environment. Below are some pictures from the exhibit and a video detailing the transport of the 340-ton megalith after an almost 40-year wait for the perfect boulder.
