Greetings! After being back in the States for less than 48 hours, my friends whisked me away to the magical Las Ventanas al Paraiso. This AAA-Five Diamond resort borders the Sea of Cortez along the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico and is home to some of the most pristine views in the country. I have traveled to Mexico countless times, but this is my favorite place to stay. The entire property is built by hand, using no heavy machinery, to maintain the natural feel of the land. You are treated to artisan-inlaid pebble walkways, the country's largest infinity pool, cactus and rock xeriscaping, 24-hour personal butlers, and in-room telescopes to stargaze. Many thanks to my friends who surprised me as well as Pamela, Roberto, Tzitzire and everyone at Las Ventanas. This was an especially unforgettable way to spend my birthday.
