Greetings! After having a wonderful time in Belgium, I arrived in the country I love - Albania! Here are pictures from the Albanian Riviera, an ancient coastal area rich in history and beauty. In 48 BC, during his pursuit of Pompey, Julius Caesar set foot here and rested his legion. Today, the landscape provides secluded respite for the most adventurous travelers. Alternating between mountain passes, turquoise beaches, caves, underwater fauna, and orange, lemon and olive plantations, the seaside features a wealth of treasures. Sometimes called "Europe's Last Secret," the traditional Mediterranean villages and castles that dot the lush land harken back to societies centuries old. I am continually struck by the Riviera's sheer beauty; it's simply resplendent.
